Petiteposh blogs about Celebrity Baby Blog

February 29, 2008

Celebrity baby blog has to be one of my favorite blogs.  I love to see how celebs live their everyday life just like us, walk their kids to school, go shopping, leave the house in sweats, no makeup, hair frizzy, all the time praying that you won’t bump into someone you know.

Today I was skimming Celebrity Baby Blog and wouldn’t you know it, Brooke Burke purchased Caden Lane crib bedding for her nursery.  Crib bedding by Caden Lane for both Rain and her baby boy, due to arrive in 3 weeks.

The blue and pink crib bedding is from the vintage collection at Caden Lane and can be purchased at petiteposh.com.

Out of the cold and into the spin room

February 27, 2008

logo-300dpi.jpg

Today is so cold it would freeze the whiskers off a cat! The weatherman said it is  -24 fahrenheit….. freezing.

I am now on a path to bettering myself…vision board? …in place, Oprah’s new book selection?..A New Earth…being read (slowly, but progressively being read,  gym?  back on track!  I get up at 5:30 (that’s a.m.), quietly get into my gym clothes and am out the door by 6:00.  I head to the gym for a 6:15 spin class.

My new regime is to try to burn 1000 calories a workout, 4 times a week.  I am also trying not to offset my workout with eating too much…. 1200 calories a day should be enough without starving?

So I spin for 45 minutes….. 400 calories right there.  I run upstairs from the spin room to the “big gym” hop on a cross training eliptical machine (I love that machine), do more cardio for 50 minutes ( thought I would die!!!) and burn 600 calories!  I hit 1000 calories for the very first time.

Seems this goal of hitting 1000 really set my fitness routine on fire. Now the only problem I have is scheduling into all that cardio time some weight training.   If  anyone has any suggestions I am all ears.

Bees Knees are the Cat’s Whiskers

February 27, 2008

logo-300dpi.jpg

Lol!  This was way before my time but the phrase “the bee’s knees“, meaning “the height of excellence”, became popular in the U.S. in the 1920s, along with “the cat’s whiskers”.

Just arriving to Petiteposh.com is Bees Knees Crawling Pants.  These are stylish crawling pants with a comfortable elastic waistband, roomy fit for chubby legs/diapers , soother pocket and constructed of soft and durable fabric.

Seems that us common folk aren’t the only ones to love these pants, take a look at those celebrities that love them also!

Thank you so much for the Bee’s Knees. Coco loves them. Wow! What a great invention. Thanks again,

Courteney Cox, Actress/mother

Bebe Buell, musician, model, author and mom to Liv Tyler, Granmother to baby Milo.

“They are so cute. It was a great addition to Milo’s clothing. He thoroughly enjoyed crawling in them.”

Liv Tyler, actress and mother

These crawling pants are the best invention since the wheel! We have all hardwood floors and without the Bees knees pants my son’s little knees would be permanently bruised. We love how cute the colors and styles are, and they wash really well. Thanks so much for all of the pain free weeks of crawling and ‘cruising’! ”

February 20th, the lunar eclipse.  At 10:00 p.m.,  I remembered there is a lunar eclipse.  I wrapped myself in my coat, put on my boots (yes, we still have a ton of snow!) and went outside to see the moon.

Beautiful!  I grabbed my camera and shot a picture 🙂 not very good, I suppose a better camera is required but what the heck.

Kaloo for Cruz

February 19, 2008

logo-300dpi.jpg
My favorite line of plush toys is made in France by Kaloo.  As soon as I saw their plush I immediately fell in love.  All Kaloo products are made with the utmost care, color resistant to immersion in water, persperation and saliva.  All Kaloo products are manufactured in compliance with European safet standards.   I could go on and on but you really have to hold and cuddle a Kaloo to realize that it truly is the most precious plush on the planet.
A few celebs have discovered Kaloo for their little ones.  Tom and Katy Cruz did just :

Someone watching over me?

February 19, 2008

logo-300dpi.jpg

I wonder, is someone really up there watching over me?

Two days ago the washing machine stopped working.  Yes, literally stopped, no rotation, no vibration, nothing. It filled with water and there the water stayed.  I called the repair man and he came, brought the part needed ( don’t ask me what, as long as he fixed it I am happy) and the machine is working.  Before he left he tested it, all is fine.

This morning before I went out I went down to the laundry room to put in a load.  I figured that I would put a wash in now and when I came back it would go in the dryer.  I started sorting the laundry and stopped.  Hmmmm, something was telling me not to put on the washer and go out…. a little birdy?  a gut feeling?  intuition?  Whatever you want to call it it was talking to me and for the very first time in my life I listened.

Came home a few hours later and put the washing machine on with a full load.  An hour later I hear the washing machine is still going…weird, should have been done by now.  I go to the laundry room and OMG, water is EVERYWHERE!!! Seems the hose had come away, popped out, became detached.  Thank my “little birdy” for telling me not to go out and leave the machine on, the basement would have been flooded…..hmmmmm, makes you wonder.

The best diaper bag for baby days and beyond

February 16, 2008

logo-300dpi.jpg

I was out shopping today, actually not really shopping but scouting out the larger stores in my area.  checking out the diaper bag  situation.  I was looking to see what diaper bags would be good for baby days and beyond.  I have always thought that a diaper bag should be something that can convert to a “travel” bag or a bag that I could use when going back to work.

Petiteposh.com has an array of diaper bags that are not your average bags.  In fact they are designer bags but from smaller designers and not your average run of the mill diaper bags.

capuccino-diaper.gif  Offhand Designs, beautiful!!!! Made in the San Francisco area. Unfortunately only 2 left, they are now discontinued…
