Designer in a box!
Remember that sofa I bought? Yes, I fell in love with it and I was absolutely sure it would fit in that empty space against the far wall. It would be the perfect distance from the big screen television, and if I got the matching love seat I could put it against the wall on the right, there would be enough sitting area for 6 adults. The family room would finally be complete. I ran home, measured and voila! Perfect fit.
I ordered the sofa and love seat, decided to wait to order the coffee table and went home to await delivery. Two weeks later the sofa and loveseat arrive. After much manouvering to get them through the front door (thank goodness for professional delivery people) the furniture was brought to the family room. With much anticipation I waited for the delivery people to put the sofas in place for me…..waited…waited…waited….hmmmmm, this was not going to happen.
The sofa and loveseat were too big for my small (didn’t really think it was that small) space. That week we ended up rearranging the whole first floor. The living room (which is a much larger space) was turned into the family room and the family room was turned into an office.
It all turned out fine but needless to say I was pretty upset…. I thought I measured properly!
Planning the nursery requires some guesstimation and eyeballing it just won’t cut it. Will the crib fit where I want it to fit? Will the changetable be perfect against that wall? Is there room for that comfy, cozy rocking chair that I fell in love with?
Now you can take the guesswork out of planning the perfect nursery with Baby Spaces! These are lifesize furniture templates that allow you to ”play around” with positioning the nursery furniture, no heavy lifting required! They’ll show you exactly what pieces of furniture are needed before purchases are made and how they will fit in your nursery.
